It is each students responsibility to ensure attendance at every tutorial. Such attendance should be in a timely manner as late arrivals are disruptive for other students. Students are responsible for downloading their own lecture material from the K2NY Academy notes portal prior to all classes.

At the time of interview, please ask any questions you may have to assist both the interviewer and yourself to ensure that this course meets your aims and objectives. After acceptance onto the Academy course, payment of a deposit fee or course fee guarantees a place on the course. This guarantee is valid up to the specified start time contained within the literature for this course. All deposits or instalments paid to the K2NY Academy are non-refundable in all circumstances. The balance of the fees may only be refunded as follows: Where written notice is received by the NTC six weeks before the course commencement date a refund of 80% of fees paid, excluding deposit payment, will be made; where written notice is received by the NTC five weeks before the course commencement date a refund of 70% of fees paid, excluding deposit payment, will be made; Where written notice is received by the NTC four weeks before the course commencement date a refund of 60% of fees paid, excluding deposit payment, will be made; where less than four weeks notice is given no refund will be offered. Once the course has commenced refunds will not be offered in any circumstances. Should there be a genuine medical reason why a student is unable to commence the K2NY Academy course, they may apply in writing to the Course-co-ordinator for a review.

Final examinations are both practical and written. A student must achieve a minimum grade of 60% on theory and practical assessments in order to pass. Students who re-sit an exam can only achieve a maximum mark of 60%. It is the responsibility of a course participant to contact the school upon receipt of their results to discuss and exam re-sits – the Academy will not contact you. All K2NY Academy qualifications including final examinations and certificates will only be awarded to those who successfully complete all examinations and course work. Examination results and / or certificates will not be issued to any student who has failed to pay all fees due.

All K2NY Academy applicants have a responsibility to ensure that they are not suffering from any illness or injury which would prevent them from fully participating in the Academy course. It is the responsibility of each student to be in good health, and if required, a student must present a certificate of good health from their doctor. Personal hygiene is of utmost importance while attending the K2NY Academy. If a student fails to follow good hygiene it is the duty of tutors and staff of the K2NY Academy to highlight this. Every student is expected to dress appropriately and act in a courteous, professional manner while attending the Academy.

Once the Academy course has commenced, although extremely unlikely, class dates and times may be subject to change. Tutors for individual classes on courses may be subject to change.
